Sully, short for Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III, is the pilot who safely landed a disabled US Airways airliner on the Hudson River on a frigid January day in 2009. “Sully” is now a biographical drama of the event portrayed by Tom Hanks as the pilot. The movie hasn’t even been released yet and is already drawing a lot of backlash with people saying, “that’s not how it happened.”
