Matthew McConaughey Spent His Birthday Handing Out 4,500 Thanksgiving Turkeys To Families in Kentucky

When I saw Matthew McConaughey in the headlines, I shuddered.

“Not him” I whispered to myself.

It felt inevitable he too would become part of the long list of the closet creeps of Hollywood. But nope, it’s just another day of Matthew McConaughey being a great dude.

Unbeknownst to me, Matthew is the new creative director for Wild Turkey Bourbon, and here’s a picture of him pointing at something to prove it.

The bourbon distillery Wild Turkey is definitely in luck with McConaughey on their team. And they’re at it again this week when Matthew, along with 250 volunteers handed out 4,500 thanksgiving turkeys to families around Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

A good deed? Yes. Ironic that Wild Turkey is handing out Turkeys? Also yes.

“Thanksgiving, gratitude, we believe in our family that the more you’re thankful for, the more that you show gratification, the more that you’re gonna create in your life to be thankful for,” the actor told the volunteers, as seen in another video posted on his Facebook page. “I think it’s kinda scientific and here’s kind of living proof of it right here this morning.”

“Let’s go make some people happy and put some smiles on some faces, deliver some turkeys, there’s some people that are gonna be happy to get ’em,” he said. “Just keep livin’, thanks for being here.”

Here’s Matthew delivering a turkey to a house full of “hot moms.” Note the fact he waits for a camera crew to assemble and they already have 6+ Moms chillen in the house ready to go when he arrives. A total PR stunt? Absolutely. Does it matter? Absolutely not.

However he is delivering it to this house with BMW’s in the driveway, so I’m gonna say there’s a fat chance there are other people in this country who need a free turkey more than these but hey, it’s Matthew McConaughey, so all is forgiven.
