Jimmy Fallon took the last week off from his duties as Tonight Show host after his mother Gloria passed away. He returned last night and addressed his absence, and his Mother, and let me tell you it’ll hit you right in the feels.
There’s nothing more important in life than a good Mom or Motherly figure. They’re your number one fan, sometimes your only fan, and forever the only fan that matters. They’re the only person in your life who will compliment you behind your back, but talk shit to your face. At least that’s how my Mom is, and it seems like Jimmy’s Mother Gloria was just as great. She was a huge fan of the show, I remember seeing her in the audience of his first ever episode of the Tonight Show back in 2014.
His tribute was short and sweet…
Too much for a Tuesday. Even better was the subtle tribute they did at the end of the broadcast. It’s the little things in life.
One last note: our show was right on time today, but we edited out a minute to leave room for Jimmy high-fiving audience members during the end credits. It was Gloria's favorite part of the show.
