College, man. It’s basically a first world problem, right? These days it is beyond expensive, emotionally exhausting and oh yeah by the way, super expensive. You are broke the entire time you’re there (the “broke college kid” stereotype is real) and then when you get out, it’ll somehow get even worse! Am I being dramatic? Kind of.
Despite the cost, going to college is just one of those things if you’re lucky enough to do, you gotta do. If you have a passion for a specific field or can go to get your feet wet and find your destiny, it’s a pretty damn good place to be. The social aspect, the things you learn and the relationships you make will last a lifetime if you’re dedicated and open-minded. And sure, there are other things out there that will make you well-rounded and ready for the “real” world, but higher education is a pretty well-proven way to do it.
So, if you have been to college, there are probably A LOT of things you wish you knew back then that you know now that you’re
washed up more mature.
I mean, think about it –college is a totally new experience where you’re throw into a world with random roommates, a specific number of meal swipes for you to feed yourself with, and top on that a whole lot of freedom.
Leave it to the 2BD squad to tell you just a few short pieces of advice for heading back to school in our latest video Driven by CDTA. (Hint: the best piece of advice for Capital Region college students has to do with them. Saving money by getting free bus rides and discounted CDPHP cycle passes sounds a LOT more cost effective than buying Ubers left and right. Just saying.)
