There’s a Pond Hockey Tournament Coming to Glens Falls

Strap on your skates, put down the beer, and start training because this February you and 5 friends could be playing in a brand new 4v4 pond hockey tournament in Hockey Town USA!

We’re installing a bunch of outdoor rinks smack dab in the middle of Crandall Park in Glens Falls, NY (aka “Hockey Town USA”), bringing in warming huts, scorekeepers, locker rooms, food and beer trucks and will be hosting up to 40 regional teams.

On the line will be bragging rights, $1,000 in prizes (plus a bunch of gear), and the winner’s teams name will be engraved on the annual Champions Trophy! A special skills competition will be offered too, with special prizes.  Teams will get tournament shirts, dinner, drinks, custom hockey pucks and lots of laughs.

Remember, it will likely sell out! Sign up starting November 15th. Don’t Miss It!

Just when I thought today couldn’t get any better, I get a text message from a friend of mine saying there will be a pond hockey tournament in Glens Falls this year. In case you skipped the quote from above, let me break it down for you:

  • 40 regional teams
  • $1000 worth of prize money and free gear
  • Beer and food trucks
  • Engraved trophy

There will be two different divisions, each offering a cash prize of $500 a pop. Click here to sign up or to learn more details.

For sure going to add this to the list of tournaments I’m participating in this year. This is something Glens Falls should’ve done a while ago and I for one can’t wait to play in it along with people watch the hockey degenerates that show up to this thing. Glens Falls baby, a hockey town if I’ve ever seen one.
